Another one of my specials where I kind of made the game but it's not a hundred percent logical, but still way better than Machinist's Boots where we were haplessly clumping things.
In this game you try to keep critters from getting scorched by an uneven sun/night time extreme temperature exoplanet situation on various world types. The Strength -> harder to play is where the fraction of survival is harder if the critters eat excellent food and breed too much. the Tides are affected by the Moons orbiting the exoplanet.
Try to keep 100% survival rate for big points! Colonies are like harvesting farms for the critters so one can earn credits to upgrade the channel network pieces. Critters will intelligently avoid death from freeze /heat/other hazard but they can panic and cascade like peasants fleeing in a total war game. The more of a network you build the more the critters are likely to utilize the network of channels, pumps and gates to get to the safety of the colony farms. Colonies can (rarely) be destroyed by bad enough conditions. Too low a survival rate for too long and you get eliminated from doing more rounds of play.
